On March 19, the School Building Committee hosted Community Forum #10. After brief project updates, the SBC and project team members responded to both pre-submitted and live questions from community members. Key topics discussed included:

• Cost management: This is a top priority for the project team. Value engineering is integrated into each stage of the design process.

• Taxpayer impact: Town Finance staff continue to model various strategies for mitigating taxpayer impact of the project. One example is the potential mitigation model provided in this presentation, which shows how tax increases could ramp up gradually by utilizing the Capital Stabilization Fund. The presentation also notes that the impact of the LHS project will be somewhat offset as other town debt payments end over the next decade. (See presentation slides, page 21. • Enrollment capacity: The project team reiterated that the Bloom design is flexible enough to accommodate potential enrollment increases due to Lexington's MBTA zoning, as confirmed by Dr. Hackett.
