What's Happening
- Mark your calendars - We have a debt exclusion vote date! Voters will be asked to approve a debt exclusion in order for the town to raise property tax revenue to fund the project on Monday, December 8! Read our July newsletter for more information about this and other important dates.
- At the July 31 Permanent Building Committee meeting, the project team presented a new estimate for the LHS building project. The updated projection puts the total cost at about $659.7 million — down from the December estimate of $662 million. In addition, the estimated MSBA reimbursement has increased to $110 million, up $10 million from the fall. View the meeting presentation and recording.
- Save the date for Community Forum #14: October 14, 6:30pm at Cary Memorial Hall and on Zoom. View recordings and presentations from past community forums.
- On April 28, members of the Lexington School Master Planning Advisory Committee reviewed recently updated LPS enrollment projections. If all currently planned housing developments are completed, high school enrollment could rise modestly—by just under +30 students—by FY30.

- Upcoming Community Forum: October 14
- In November 2025, Town Meeting will be asked to vote to fund the fully designed and priced LHS project, contingent upon a successful debt exclusion vote by a majority of Lexington voters in December.
- On December 8, 2025, the town-wide debt exclusion vote to fund the project will be held. Get Involved to help us get the YES vote to support this critical project!
